Television Production Qualification
I have years of experience up-keeping and operating a television studio and control room.
While working at the University of Utah's television studio for the Communication Department, I utilized all the aspects of the studio: lighting and sound boards, CG generator, syncing tape playback, TD switcher, TelePrompTer, and studio cameras. We were constantly updating the control room.
I added a new audio input to the sound mixing board, a second CD recorder. I rewired the sound inputs from the record player to the new CD recorder. Then I ran left and right channel wires to a patch panel, which in the case the record player is ever needed, patching in will keep the ability to still play it through the audio board.
Multiple programs, newscasts and shows utilized that studio, and I assisted each one in whatever capacity was needed.
I have live production experience as well. As an intern for the CBS affiliate, KUTV, I ran the TelePrompTer during the noon newscast, when someone couldn't make it to work. During the state fair, the evening 5 o'clock news anchored from the fair grounds. I helped run cables and assisted the cameraman. I helped in any capacity I could. I learned ENPS while there, and know it quite well.
KUTV uses robotic cameras. I did get to watch the cameras being utilized and I have seen the program, although not totally familiar with robotic cameras, I am fascinated on how they are controlled and used.
I am self motivated and have worked for a couple of productions on a temporary basis, like "Beauty and the Geek," they came into town for auditions. I am looking for regular work. The position of production technician will fit perfectly.
Thank you for looking over my résumé. This is a great opportunity and look forward to talking with you.
Sincerely,
Laurelin
